about monster truck lady
She has never been your ordinary, everyday, “basic” girl.
In fact, most days, she’s too busy conquering her dreams and visualizing them into something even greater than she imagined possible! Kelli Mundhenke, co-owner/founder of Mundhenke Motorsports, has lived in rural Colorado her whole life. She’s also always been an entrepreneur of many sorts and has never been afraid of pursuing what she wants. That’s why, at the young age of just 23 years old, she purchased The Beverly Hillbillies Monster Truck from the 1993 movie The Beverly Hillbillies. However, it didn’t stop at “just purchasing the truck”. Kelli turned this Oldsmobile truck into a monster-ride truck, traveling locally to various shows, rallies and fairs for more than two years before retiring the truck back into museum exhibits.
After taking a brief and thoughtful break for about a year, Kelli decided to come back into the Monster Truck World in 2005 with the purchase of “The White Knight”, another monster-ride truck. She operates her special Ford truck, White Knight, at various rallies, birthday parties, special events, competitions, and so much more. Since that purchase, she has had a few other trucks come and move on from her, including a race truck which remains unnamed at this time. Monster trucks have always been a passion of Kelli’s. She has always had the desire to not only learn about all of the parts on and in her truck, but also about who and what works on her trucks. Kelli knows there’s an art that concerns the mechanics (all puns intended!) involved, and-albeit greasy-it’s an art she’s come to adore. She also knows how to have fun with her trucks responsibly.
Kelli knows it also takes a lot of hard work, dedication, good health, and (yes, healthy) finances to make this huge dream of monster trucks stay a lifelong reality for her. Other trades including: HR generalist and project manager for a local restoration and reclamation company; finding a nutrition regime that keeps her physically healthy and that she can distribute herself with Juice PLUS+; retiring as an accomplished banker of 20 plus years from a locally owned Colorado-based bank; and spending time with those she loves and cherishes while taking care of herself physically and mentally.
Kelli knows the most important things in life are the little things. Her family and friends are her biggest fans as she is theirs. Her husband, Brian, is Kelli’s biggest supporter (because what husband doesn’t want a wife obsessed with monster trucks and just a total gear head?!). And, last but definitely not least, her faith, her hope, her love, her dreams, her drive and her intelligence are her best strengths.
